(1) I Support Anna & (2) A fine Spiderman comic

It's time to stand up and get counted against the ever growing cancer of corruption paralysing the growth of the nation. I am with Anna in this fight.

Now for comics. A lot of talk goes on about declining standards of Phantom stories. The current strips do not stand anywhere against the classics of Falk. On the other hand it is good to see spiderman stories keeping the standards and the creators producing really nice reads. The presented comic has two stories. The second one is the one that I am talking about. It is really heart-touching to read and has a good re-read value. One of those you'd enjoy reading again. Beautiful.

TPH #055 Spiderman - 2 (Newyork WTC terrorist attack of 9/11 - A very unusual comic)

Here is the unusual comic I was referring to some time back. A very different kind of comic showcasing a popular character. It's really amazing to see the kind of ideas these comic creators develop, relating to the events taking place around us in the real world.

The story, well there is no story as such, but only the sequence of events taking place in the aftermath of WTC terrorist attack of 9/11 in New york. It's more like a documentary on the tragedy of the people, the large scale devastation that rendered most of the eyewitnesses numb, but at the same time provided an opportunity to many ordinary people to come forward and show their bravery, courage and more than anything else, the humanity.

The kind of sincerity with which the comic unfolds its colours truly amazes, and I must say that I haven't read many comics like this one. Its' a one of its kind, really.

There are many Spiderman comics available on net but none in Hindi (as I know). So I am presenting this one. The character requires no introduction after 3 very successful movies. This is the story of Peter Parker turning into Spiderman. The first spiderman comic was published in 1961. Stan Lee the creator has also produced some other popular characters like phantastic four.
